When Mic was well he bought Brassier (sp) from Aldi. 8 stubby bottles for about £3.20 I think. He loved it.
Excellent both in taste and price, better than the 'big' brands.
All mass produced lagers taste near enough the same and none would be drinkable were they not served freezing cold.

Try a bottle of real ale for a change. Serve it at cellar temperature (round about 50 degrees F) and enjoy.
Wychwood might be a bit too mainstream for New Judge, but Aldi do have the best price per bottle - at about £1.17 or similar last time I checked, a bargain!

I tried lido lemon liqueur last year and was quite disappointed - as I was with aldi almond liqueur
Does it have to be Aldi?

They sell a lager called Bavaria at about £1/pint. It's not bad.

I do not drink lager but my husband would agree completely with Methyl. The Leffe blond though not the Leffe Brune.
Although he would much rather have real ale.
I do not drink Lager if I can help it but as I said Aldi is as good as any and cheap. Morrison's are great for real ale, a large selection from £1 to £1.85 per 500ml bottle. The £1 one is Banks Bitter and excellent.
methyl: "the equally awful Aldi website does not admit to selling lager"

What's this then?

Tsing Tao is a very pleasant drink (although a little pricey.)

I sampled a very nice light beer from Morison's, the other night, its called 'AURELIO' and the label says that at least 10p from every bottle sold go's towards prostrate cancer UK research.
