as is this one showing a drunk girl http://www.webpronews.com/drunk-girl-video-is-a-viral-hoax-completely-faked-2014-11

Make one wonder how many others are not what they seem...

Indeed, there is footage of me playing Lady MacBeth but I'm not a 1000 yer old Scottish noblewoman. Fings aint always what they seem when you get cameras involved.
But... but... they called you Lady Macbeth! I'm confused now...

kvalidir - i doubt that your theatrical portrayal resulted in an avalanche of articles trying to draw conclusions about the state of society today
I know Jim, it's confusing but it's, it's sort of like magic... ;-)
My point was bibble that just because something is on film doesn't mean that it's reliable as evidence, in fact often exactly the opposite because most people THINK seeing is believing, so create authentic looking propaganda and you have a very powerful weapon.
Which is really weird 'cos i'm listening to 'A Kind Of Magic' right now:-)
It's not as confusing as the time my Mum called me by my brother's name... at least, I think it was my brother's name... but maybe we're actually the same person? Or I'm actually my brother... Ohmygodsoscary
Maybe we're in the Twilight Zone...:)
I am still upset about finding out that the John Lewis Penguins were not real Penguin actors.

And don't get me started on Lassie being a boy called Laddie.

These film makers should hang their heads in shame!

There was a myriad of articles as a result of the drunk girl video so not everyone must be as clear sighted as you clever people.
On the one hand, these deliberate fakes are meant to encourage us to question what we're being made to see -every time- but, on the other, it could be seen as a sinister attempt to undermine public confidence in the output of sincere film-makers and on-the-spot mobile phone footage of genuine, terrible, things that are happening.

For state-sponsored fakery, try this notorious example

I never believe what I see these days. So much is false and photoshopped or just a plain old con.
Not everything you see is the real thing....
did nt we always kinda know that ?

see antiques roadshow - all the presenters are grotesque fakes.... no I mean....

This is a reaction to a standard con, innit

I've been had ! and the person telling me the story was SO plausible, when he told me his mother in law had plague - I really believed she had !

all I can comment is: we live and learn
or at my age, a phrase I use quite a lot: there is no fool like an old fool
The video of the tiger loose near Paris is also a fake, that one was actually filmed in India in March of this year, someone has dubbed over the people talking (obviously in one of the Indian languages) with white noise.

*February*, not March as I stated above. lol
