It doesn't upset me in the least, but I do think you were out of order saying it.
Talbot - "It doesn't upset me in the least, but I do think you were out of order saying it."

Then please accept my apologies - no offence intended.
LOL...LOL...handbags are flying, platitudes are being offered but the most ineffectual of all is " the AB apology" which is a total waste of time and certainly overrated.
So.......

What's everyone having for tea?

Patatas bravas perhaps?
It's not often I agree with you sqad but .....crap I think I will go for a lie down.
Sqad - " ... but the most ineffectual of all is " the AB apology" which is a total waste of time and certainly overrated."

Can you define 'The AB apology', and advise why it is a waste of time, and by whom is it rated at all, over or otherwise?
The "AB apology is well recognised as a criticism and possibly an insult followed by a "sugary" penultimate or final sentence to smooth over the incident making the culprit appear...." a gentleman".

It is easy to spot.

\\\\advise why it is a waste of time, \\\

Because the donor doesn't believe it and neither does the recipient who will never forget the incident despite the apology and achieves......nothing.

\\and by whom is it rated at all, over or otherwise?\\\

No idea what you mean in this phrase, but please don't explain.
In parliament speakers sometimes say, 'With respect', when they actually mean I think you're talking through your a***.
Could 'With respect', become common usage for combative ABers?
Sqad - an apology is simply good manners.

If you don't appreciate them, I shall be sure not to offer one in the future, shoud I think it appropriate.
LOL Sqad LOL....
I am more curious as to whether High5 got the response and ensuing results they hoped for in this thread.

'With respect' belongs in the same catagory as 'I'm not being funny but ...' and 'Don't take this the wrong way but ...'

They all flag the precise opposite of what they imply.

Less respect can also be flagged with the phrase 'With the greatest of respect ...'.
wonders what a 'nudge scuffler' is

It sounds like a type of loaf
