Without cheating/googling do you know maximum age for potential jurors?

I didn't - my guess was out by 10 or 15 years (the maximum age is about to rise again).

I'll post the answer in a few minutes time - but have a guess first.

Well, I affirmed -- it wasn't a problem. I don't think that prejudices were an issue in the case I dealt with. Sometimes you're going to get awful juries, other times it works well. I suppose the point is that at least it's not down to just one person. As we are constantly reminded, even experts get it wrong sometimes.
When I was about 21 I sat on a drugs case.

There were 2 defendants and they could refuse up to 3 jurors each, and they did. 6 of them were sent straight out as soon as they walked in.

Anyone who looked vaguely middle aged and middle class was chucked out.

Didn't help them though. Guilty.
Perhaps that was why I was chucked out then Hopkirk and not because I was an atheist. I was middle-aged and I might possibly look middle class.

I think technically you can apply for exemption over a certain age, rather than being automatically excluded?
Facilities?? Would your views on homosexuality colour your judgement, Jordy?

So you keep telling me.....it's your age....again....we know that...

That was not what I asked you.....which doesn't bode well for your competence on a jury.....read my question again...and answer it honestly... if you are able to.

Thank you for answering honestly......

I hope to god you are never on a jury in a case that requires an open and fair mind.

I'm lucky, I've never been picked yet. I hope it never happens.
Me too, I really wouldn't want to do it. How do they decide who gets picked I wonder ?
