Has anyone else noticed the use of "LOL" more than once by internet posters online?

Recently I've noticed internet users saying "LOL LOL" instead of the normal "LOL"

The meaning is "Laugh/Laughing out loud" which can be used once to show that you're laughing and if you laugh more than once you don't have to put "LOL LOL" and just the "LOL" will suffice and show the rest of us that you're tickled pink.

Has anyone else noticed this "Misuse" of this or any other internet abbreviations?

Yes mamy - sometimes it's just not appropriate to LOL , if you know what i mean
Like in the Library.
yeah - or when you are sitting at your desk at work and LOL might attract unwelcome attention
Hmm, what happened there? It seems that you are not allowed to put less than or greater than signs in your post ...
For those still interested, if any ever were, I wrote

snigger

I LOL with the best of them, LOL LOL is reserved for great hilarity.
Remember David Cameron used LOL in the wrong capacity with his girlfriend, the flaming, pouting redhead, Rebekah Wade......
Have you tried putting *Chortlesplutters* one here?
