Each code is unique to each car as far as I understand. The dealer is being extremely unfair in charging you for a piece of information which should have come free inside your manual. If I were you, I would contact your local Trading Standards office.

Not much help but I had a Ford years ago and the battery got disconnected. Think I paid about 10 to get if from my 'friendly' Ford dealer. Way over the top but what do you do otherwise?
Your code is 9194.
