Eamon Andrews a proper trooper. He carried on presenting 'This is your life' for 3 weeks even after he had died.

What about Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart on the radio? Can't remember the name of his programme but he was on every Saturday as I recall.
In that case, what about the singing group, The Stargazers.
It was called, "Junior Choice".
Thanks Obiter.

Description:
Further to Corylus's post, lying in our pits at RAF Colerne we would be woken every Saturday moring to Nellie The Elephant, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang or some such stuff because the last guy to go to bed hadn't bothered to switch the tannoy radio off on Friday night.
I don't remember Petticoat Junction, but remember the radio programme The Petticoat Line, along with My Word and My Music with Steve Race.
I remember Petticoat Junction and does anyone else remember Greenacres and one of my favourites Mister Ed ?
