checking voicemail on another phone

hi, i gave up using my old phone ages ago, and now have a new one. i recently turned it on to discover that i have 4 voicemail messages, but cannot check them as the phone has no credit. is it possible to check them from another phone. i am on virgin with my new phone, and my old one is o2. dont really fancy putting a tenners worth of cred on it just for a voicemail.

If you set up a voicemail pin number on the old one then you can call it from a landline or another mobile and access your vms.

You need to ring your old number (the O2 one) until it diverts you to the answer phone.. once the message plays press the * key (usually under the number 7) on the phone (assuming its touch-tone)..

You will then be asked to enter your PIN. If you have never set one up, this is defaulted on most O2 phones as 3333. (You can use this to spy on your friends messages, but I wouldnt recommend it!! Plus, all newly issued O2 Sims ask you to change the PIN the first time you use your voicemail!!).

Assuming the PIN is correct, you will have access to your messages as if you were on your own phone.
