dunno but i think it was a ploy between rooney and fergie.
they both made it happen to help ROONEY by taking the pressure off the media from what he was getting with the pro's and stuff to this, and hopes it'd put the media focus back on how it may make him find his form again.
also helps FERGIE in the fact that the CHIEF EXEC MR GILL thinks his only class player is going to leave unless they buy players offers a new contract and offers the money to buy world class players to keep United competing in the premier top 4.
you could say its a case of I SCRATCH YOUR BACK, YOU SCRATCH MINE if you sort of get what I'm saying.
These Newspapers are Printed in Manchester so you can draw your own conclusions to that story. Headlines sell Papers.

wilkesneil, yes I follow your meaning and a very good point of view, I hope your right and that they do realise that we do need to strengthen the squad. As good as some the new lads are, they're not 'world beaters' Hernandez looks the exception to that statement though.

Redman it doesn't matter where the stories are printed, your not suggesting a Red and not a Blue altered the story are you? you are right though 'Headlines sell Papers.'
