Where is Milton Keynes?

Firstly, I know it's half-way between London and Birmingham and also between Oxford and Cambridge; I'm after a different sort of answer. I've been struggling to get accurate weather forecasts for Milton Keynes, partly because as with most things, MK seems to be on the border of regions.

On bbc.co.uk/weather, the nearest weather station appears to be in Cranfield, quite a distance away, and the local forecasts seem frequently to be completely wrong. On ITN, the regions are divided so that MK is on the border of three of them, and on the sites where you can select a city, MK isn't included. Do any other places suffer from these problems? MK seems to be peripheral like this in many ways (e.g. on the border for Thames Valley Police, Bucks County Council, Anglia TV, BBC Three Counties, the South East of England (Development Agency) and so on. Do any other cities have this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Wow. We like that.

Hi tell-me-more. Cranfield is actually within Milton Keynes. MK is sectioned off into 'estates' with the grid roads and Cranfield is one of them.

Are you planning a visit here?

Not at all surprised that BBC weather website has it wrong. Same where I am. Total waste of time. I've heard that it's the subject of the majority of email complaints received by the BBC, but it doesn't get better. Puzzled how it can be so at variance with the live broadcast forecasts.(P.S. Statistically, if you say tomorrow's weather will be the same as today's - you've a 76% chance of being right!)

Whiskeysheri, I'm already here. I was referring to the new city of Milton Keynes rather than the Borough. Cranfield may be in the Borough, but it's quite a distance from where I am in MK.

Fair enough, tell-me-more, me being thick! x

I think you were probably right, I just didn't make it clear in my question.
Easy, go to http://earth.google.com/ and enter your post code. then look for your house, line up the cross hairs and it'll give you the exact co-ordinates for your house.. cool huh?
