I lock and remove keys and put them in exactly the same place each night so that myself and/or OH can grab them if there is a fire. They are out of view. I take them out as someone could just put the window through in the door and turn the key and be in in a jiffy.
They say leave your car keys downstairs, I say if I hear you downstairs the thing I will be ripping off you will not be my car keys!
Each corner of the tent is anchored down by a full 24-pack of beer. Inside there is an empty bottle or two in case nature calls.
Stewey, sensible :-)

Peas, if it's Johnny Depp, then it'll deffo not be the car keys :-D
Soooo........

Looks like it's just me that doesn't lock the door, ever....
Why not just pee into the empty cans and use them to secure the tent corners?

I take keys out of back door as that is glass . But must remember to keep chain off at the front door in the night .
We take all our keys out when we've locked up. Our keys always go back to the same place in the house, otherwise we'd lose them. The car keys are in the same place.
There's only one door to my house and that's got a Yale lock. So I can't leave my keys in the back door because there isn't one!
ssssh, Planky, the number of times I've tried to unlock the back door to let the pooch out between 4 and 5 am, only to discover it's not been locked at all in incalculable (or whatever the word is ☺ )
Remove the keys from both doors, gawd knows why force of habit I suppose.
I leave my door wide open in the summer. Keeps it cool.

Porch door locked, keys out, so that no-one can pinch them through the letter box,
Front door ( which is on a 90 degree angle to the porch door, and has no letter box) door locked keys left in it.
back door locked , keys in.
conservatory, door locked keys out, dont know why, just always been done that way.
Leave in the kitchen door as it is a wooden door. Remove the back one as it is a glass door a I feel someone could break the glass panel and use the key to open up.
Take mine out in case any of the family need to get in the back / front doors, but leave the conservatory one in. Up till a few years ago none of our doors were ever locked, sign of the times now.

We always lock the door at this house just so the hounds dont open it and escape. No worries of burglars.

I would love to see the look on a burglars face when our hounds appeared in front of him.
Leave them in, I'm terrified my kids wouldn't get out if there was a fire.
