Ed, there's a new greeny on the board whose sum total contribution appears to be correcting users' spelling.

Anyone who has been around long enough to remember a gentleman by the name of Spellmaster will know how such supercilious smuggery tends to cause offence, particularly when users cannot post edit, and in any case, the ability to spell is not a pre-requisite to use the site.

Would you accept the reporting of such activity as a legitimate irritation, and will you remove such posts?

Yes, it is most annoying. If you look at the majority of threads you'll find mistakes in them all, nothing much to worry about though. I don't think the world will end just because of a few minor mistakes on AB.

Lots of people can spell correctly, but maybe can't type correctly, or type too fast and press submit before proof-reading (guilty as charged) ;-)

Maybe AB should have a 'Spelling & Grammar' category just for him!

I make loads of mistakes when typing on here, often typing 'their' instead of 'there' or typing in a wrong word when my mind is going faster than my fingers. And I often don't stop to edit. Grammar and spelling shouldn't matter a jot on here. As long as people give good answers and we can understand them, then that's what AB is all about.

Glad you said that - Just lately I seem to keep transposing some of my letters.

Sometimes it's because I'm typing too fast, or that I'm being distracted & post before I've checked it thoroughly!

Nobody's perfect!
