Kindle/you Tube Problem

Hope someone can understand this - boy #1 watches you tube on his kindle. He used to be able to watch it 'at a slower speed' (something to do with not using up too much of the Internet?). It now makes him watch it at a 'faster speed' which uses up too much Internet. Our Internet is pants and he can't watch you tube now as it means no one else can use the Internet (as it goes too slow). How can we sort it out so that he is watching using the slower speed? (You can probably judge from this question that I have no idea what I am talking about). Thanks to anyone who can answer.

At the bottom of the UTube video is a symbol which looks like a cog. Click on this and you are given a choice of which quality you want to view it. Reduce the quality and it might solve your problem.
