Recently I noticed when I kneel down I get a pain in my knee - at first I thought I was kneeling on a stone or piece of grit, but it has now happened in the bath where there were definitely no foreign objects. Feels as though something is sticking in it. Any ideas what it could be?

I've had a pain in my knee this past while, been to GP, knowing it wasn't dvt as I have had one of those, my gp checked it as it was really painful and decided I had superficial phlebitis, having said that he gave me pain killers, but anything with the leg I'd get it seen to
Damage in the joint maybe?

Been googling this tonight and it seems its quite a common problem. Not much that can be done, but it seems to be just inflammation often caused by trauma, but I can't remember having done anything to it. Several long words to describe it, but all giving the same symptoms.
I didn't hurt my knee but what i said was wrong with it was treated, I always feel if there is a problem with the leg, get it seen to, could be something simple , was painkillers prescribed for me and sorted in no time.

Do you kneel down in the bath?

OR do you mean that it is painful in the bath.

Is the knee swollen?
I had this problem and was sent to hospital to have my knee washed out.
