Sorry, I'll stop soon :) Dry shampoo could be useful if washing hair is an issue.

Moisturiser/hand cream maybe, if she uses that and lip salve, as it can be very dry and warm in there if not on a ward or in a room where the window can be open.

A separate bag where used underwear and clothing can be placed so it's kept separate from clean stuff, something non-see through which can be fixed shut (maybe something like a zip up shopping bag) would be ideal.
One of the things that always amazes me about hospitals is the amount of noise so take earplugs so she can get some sleep.
anti bacterial hand gel, and wipes.
Knitting....Needlework.....women's magazines.
Some form of PC to keep in contact with CB (Answerbank)
Kitchen sink!
Don't take in too much ...remember that you only have a limited space for storage.
