I have been all over Scotland but always wanted to go to skye,this will be a trial run and if it works out I will definitely do it again.

First time we (many moons ago) and we were young, we camped.
Campsite on side of hill, most interesting.
Beautfiul place, Kate, lovely people, most welcoming and friendly and helpful.
Floddigarry Hotel is/was wonderful.
Be careful though of local closing times. They are in a different time zone.

Fort William is lovely too, but rained on every occasion we visited/passed through.

I did it when my marriage broke up and was scared stiff, but no need. A coach trip is the best for getting to know people and you are never alone for long unless of course you want to be. If that's the case you start as you mean to go on and people will accept you for that. Good luck and enjoy!!!

Went to Egypt on my tod, joining boat in Luxor for Nile Cruise. Occasional poor me feeling but great on the whole. Thinking of another me trip as I too have problems with finding a travelling companion.

Sky is beautiful, take some mosquito repellent containing deet (I cant spell it), lots of midges but I never got bit once when I was there, gorgeous scenery + loads of otters swimming in the rocks, you will love it, Aaron is nice as well,

the sky one has been cancelled,and on the others they don't take single travellers,also charged an extra 25 quid for a single room
