No sign of food banks here.

Here is the menu, I thought that the choice of dessert was in bad taste. :0)

Starter
Halibut with baby leeks in a fine herb sauce

Main Course
Tournedos of Windsor Estate beef with wild mushrooms and watercress purée
Purple sprouting broccoli in hollandaise sauce
Onions stuffed with parmesan and bulgur wheat
Savoyarde potatoes and salad

Dessert
Vanilla ice-cream bombe with Windsor redcurrant centre and fruit plate

Wines
Ridgeview Cuvée Merret Grosvenor 2009
Meursault 1er Cru Perrières 2005, Chanson Père et Fils
Château Léoville-Barton 1990, 2ème Cru Classé, St Julien

Mamyalynne Ha, mine never arrived aswell ! My maternal grandmother was also Irish
Shame no Irn Bru though Dr Filth....like it though.

Should have seen the wines when Chirac went through Windsor! Perhaps times were better.....maybe he was a better connoisseur of wine.

Bet the Secret Service was crawling the place, so hence M being present - to protect M. And AOG, as to jokes and humour, how many have you placed over on that section? I rest my case viz. my contributions, MoFC and GMEB not withstanding - wit see GMEB yesterday for the latter.
Huh?

Are you saying AOG should read the MOFC and GMEB threads to see that you have a sense of humour?

Would AOG even know what they stood for?
lol - well you do, ummmm, so there's hope for AOG!
Inspired by this talk about pineapples I have just bought one on ebay. 2.49 with free postage and packing. Cores, peels and slices in one movement. They are a cheap enough fruit which I often ignore due to exterior. No more!
mighty orange french chicken

and

guess my entertainment budget
you bought a pineapple on ebay that peels and cores itself?
mcfluff you know what I meant to say. A pineapple corer.
what we need is something when you submit that says "please read through what you have just put and only press submit when you are sure there are no typos, because someone will come along and correct you if there are any!"
The wastage from a pineapple corer would have me weeping in the wings. A knife is all that is needed......and now a pineapple as I have taken the fancy :-(
but typos are fun... unless you're me, in which case they are usually toe curlingly embarrasing

and besides a self peeling & coring pineapple would be an amazing thing
Typos are fun. My daughter works in the legal profession. She received a letter from a client saying "We feel we have been backed into a coroner"...
Who brought up the subject of pineapples ?
I thought the table looked absolutely beautiful - and I think (given a chance ) I would have enjoyed the feast.
Want a gentle hint Baz?
don't worry aog i will save you a small tin of heinz
