Ves Vu ?

I don't know where to put this - I've just come across a receipt for something I bought from an antiques shop and which cost me £45 in 1993. I have no recollection at all about this - but I'm ancient !
The description of goods is Ves Vu or Ves Va - London 1892
Has anyone any ideas please?
