Got two Easter eggs to get decorated, two decorated Easter bonnets to supervise and now I have got a Roman woman's costume to make (and my hand still hurts), haven't got a clue where to start with the costume either.

Thank you spoonboy, that looks doable (I don't have a sewing machine so the simpler the better).
Hope it works for you.
Well, tata for now. I'm off to sin...

...gonna have a smoke.
I made the simplest costume possible Sherr.

White single sheet, folded in half, cut head hole along the fold, then belted it round her middle. I then bought a silvery scarf from charity shop and draped it over her shoulder. Topped off with a plastic headband sprayed gold on her bonce.
I had to make a witches costume for my daughter many years ago and the pattern called for the side seams to be "stuck" together with something like bondaweb it saved me having to stitch the side seams - thought it might save you some sewing

Nungate - I already have some of that, used it today to take up some trousers. This is looking easier and easier!!!
What's wrong with my suggestion? :-(

Doesn't even need wonder webbing!
