They are very popular at the moment for Altered Art, try searching some of the craft sites, particularly US ones, although they may be expensive postage wise.

Most DIY shops have a paint-mixing service which means that they must also have empty paint cans. I doubt that the big firms, like B&Q, will be prepared to help but try phoning some of your local independent DIY stores.
