it had been playing up for ages, sluggish as can be.
Anyway, I popped the 2 set up discs in as directed, I think that loaded Mac OS.
Then I ran the Snow Leopard OSX disc, thinking it would just overwrite.
I seem to be stuck with the old version.
What have I done wrong please.
6 year old iMac.

I did it because it was constantly 'hanging'. Fair drove me round the bend.
I think I would have used the mac disc tools that are supplied. I also like clean my mac and gemini, both from the app store.
Have you tried downloading Mavericks, it's free from the Apple Store. My Mac Air has got so much faster since I did it.
