Burning A Cd - Faulty Track

I am using Windows Media Player (Windows 8) to burn a CD using MP3's.

When I hit the 'burn' button, I get an error message saying that one of the tracks is not recognised, but rather unhelpfully, it won't tell me which one!

I have played all the MP3's - no problem.

I have switched the order around - same message.

Any idea how to isolate the rogue MP3 please?

I have added one at a time, no error message, so no help that way, but thanks anyway.

Total of all the tracks not exceeding the CD size? Don't forget you have to leave room for the finalising.

Thanks SlackAlice - no it was not a space problem, I always leave a couple of minutes at the end for 'finishing'.

Thanks Chew process of elimination finally found the bogie MP3 - wrote off a couple of blanks to get it, but it's been found and blitzed.

Thanks stricklandmm.

I used Nero for years and was very happy with it, but Windows 8 will not run my version - boo!

I have found the Windows 8 burning software to be acceptable, until last night.

My problem was that there was no indication which was the faulty MP3, so some trial and error finally found it.

If the problem comes up again, I will re-invest in the latest Nero - old faithfuls are the way!
