Very normal,my cats and dog eat them too, along with spiders, moths, butterflies, dragonfles and flys!!!
sorry,dragonflys

Yes. But not for the daddy long legs.

I knew an old cat that swallowed a daddy longlegs. It wriggled and giggled and wriggled inside her.

Lol MargeB! Don't you mean an old lady though who swallowed a fly i don't know why perhaps she'll die?!
come to think of it, your version does rhyme substantially better :-))
My cat chases anything that moves - he performed a spectacular pounce on a fly yesterday afternoon and then ate it.
Over the weekend we've had five cats to look after.  Can you imagine five cats chasing a daddy long legs around the kitchen?  It's amazing how high cats can jump when they want to!
Our cat used to chase them, stuff them in his mouth and chew, look horrified (presumebably it didn't taste nice) and spit it out again. He'd then paw the soggy mess around expecting it to run about again. And it would do this time and time again without learning.
Ours eats them when she can be bothered. Whats more worrying is that she catches flys and then carries them around with them buzzing in her mouth. Think she likes the vibration

my cats eat anything that's small and moves :-s as well as there food of course.
