could anybody explain what non parity ddr ram is please, i have 256mb and want to buy 512 off ebay but unsure exactly what i am looking for! thanks

crucial.com has a memory matching system with most makes of laptops as well as a top of info about this sort of technical bumf.

Non parity means it doesn't have error checking. An extra bit that verifies data.
