I have a Intel pentium 4 2.80GHz processor with 248mb of RAM. I have trouble playing games on flash player (freezes/crashes/won't load/won't log out etc.) Can anyone tell me if they think the processor/memory are simply not enough for the job?
I'm on windows xp service pack
Oh, and I've tried EVERYTHING else regarding flash player (uninstall/reinstall, updates for flash and java, )
Tried defrag and have 72% free space on hard drive. I do regular virus checks and use CCleaner regularly.
Also any advice on the right kind of processor and amount of memory I need. The PC is about 6 years old so pretty ancient but can't afford a new one.

Many thanks in advance.

I'm surprised it works at all with so little memory - use the scanner at www.crucial.com/uk to find out how your memory can be upgraded.

Hi, I have similar PC to you ie: Pentium 4, 2.8gig processor and is also about six years old and mine works fine since buying extra memory from crucial. I use it for microsoft flight sim and sons use it for new football managers games. As Vagrant says but more memory makes lots of difference.
