how do you make an off road bike road legal. obviously it needs lights etc but how do i go about getting a number plate. Also is there any emisions test or other regulations

Get an MOT, fill in a form V62, available from the DVLA webite, send the fee �25? plus the road fund fee. I think you will be on a Q plate.There are some new rules about 2 strokes after June check with your local office

Thanx Harley. Im trying to keep things as cheap as possible, How much will it cost?

Harley has made it sound a little more easy than it actually will be...for a start your off road can will more than likely fail a noise test (and as you mention possibly emision test as well) and you will have to fit mirrors and indicators. Having all this hassle and expense to contend with I would suggest you flog you MX and get a street legal bike from the start.
