i have not driven my car for a few weeks and the battery was dead - its ok now, everything works fine - except for the indicators - they dont light or make any sound

any idea why?

is this because of the battery? or could it be the fuse or something?

all other lights work fine

thanks
(its a vw passat 2002 auto estate, diesel)

Probably the fuse, or the relay, although i think on some cars if the relay fails it tends to leave the light on.
What about the hazards, do they flash?
You could try a reset - disconnect the battery and re-connect. Make sure you have the radio security code first ...

yes the hazards work fine

aren't hazards actually the indicators flashing together?

thanks
I would try what Risla has said Joko.regards your battery, if you only do very short journeys, you are not giving the battery the charge it needs, give it a good run once a week.
