my mobile has gone mental and unrepairable,also it has 20� still on it with all my contact numbers.
if i buy another phone would i be able to swap simcards and carry on as before. thanks, a very ignorant old codger,george.

As long as you buy another phone that is on the same network then yes you can swap the simcards and it will work and you will retain the credit

The contacts depend on where they were stored on the broken phone, if it was on the simcard then they will still be there when you insert the sim into the new phone. If the contacts were stored on the phone then you've lost them.

But you won't know until you try!
Chuck, I thought a lot of phones are network locked but, sim free?
