Ok, without any mud-slinging back and forth, just how deep rooted are the problems at Man Utd? Weak squad (which Fergie could see coming), players wanting to leave (Rooney, Van Persie, Vidic), teams not scared of attacking at Old Trafford, Old Red Nose at every game can't help, and Moyes has now lost the plot stating that they are having to 'play against the referees' as well. Just how bad will things get? Interested to hear from any SERIOUS Man Utd fans.

I can see years of problems at Old Trafford if things continue as they are. I believe the owners of the club are paying back 70-odd million a year in interest, meaning they cannot afford the superstar signings in the way Man City, Chelsea etc can. If United miss out on Champions League football next season, as seems likely, top stars will steer away from going...

It's not serious at all it's only a game...isn't it?

It appears that sometime during the barren last decade, you have developed an inferiority complex. Which is unfortunate, but understandable.
I am happy to see you are finally getting over it, but I fear it is a tad early to go straight to the superiority mode. Are you bipolar by any chance?
i shouldn't laugh gromit but i'm pmsl sorry dave

Gromit - nothing to do with an inferiority complex. I have already said I am aware of our failure and mismanagement. Pity you can't see the wood for the trees yourself. Superiority mode? Not at all. As for bipolar, if you actually know what it really means, then I don't think so.
Chewn, re your timeline post, you should know dave's m.o by now. He asks for a serious discussion, doesn't like what he hears, he starts the disrespectful comments, people question this and are then accused of not having a sense of humour! Dave sees what Dave wants to see, to use his own phrase he's the gift that keeps on giving...pmsl!

I see a combination of issues are at fault, 1 is I feel moyes made a mistake getting rid of the staff who knew the players etc and replaced them with his own from Everton.

2 The players are getting used to a different managers training methods but any professional should be able to adapt or not take long too.

3 Opposition aren't afraid to play Utd anymore, the fear factor basically.

4 Key players eg RVP, rooney injured.

5 Even though they won the league last season you would think the players would be with starting this season well to show the new gaffer what they can do but some of the players in the team are garbage with the rest being very good players so the v good players carried the garbage ones.

6 The team is still missing a keane type of player.

7 Gill leaving in the same summer as Fergie was a big faux pas, he could have stayed on for a year (could have had Ed Woodward working alongside him) to help moyes get the players he wanted.

8 I do thnk Moyes will be given time.
Is this tired old post still going ??
