Envelope Template

I used to have a program that I could print envelope layouts from. I don't mean a template just showing you where to put your address, this was actually the whole envelope, opened up flat, for you to print off and cut out, and glue the flaps together, thus making your own envelope.

I can't remember what the program was, and am unable to find anything like it on the internet.

Any ideas please? And before you say it, I know it is easy enough just to open up and envelope and trace around it, but this program was great, more convenient, as it had all the lines and folds of the envelope drawn out for you, so you could just print and go!

Thanks.

Go to http://www.google.com/ and search for envelope template - plenty of options there

Thanks oldbob, already tried that, but all that seems to come up are templates showing you where to put your address on the envelopes, not a template to show you how to make the envelopes themselves.

But thanks anyway. Will keep looking!
Strange - I searched Google for envelope templates and got at least a dozen options on the first page. These are diagrams of envelopes (various sizes) which you print out on plain paper, then cut out according to the lines printed on the paper, then fold and glue where indicated. It's all there tho why one would bother with all this mucking around when envelopes are so cheap is beyond me.

Hi oldbob,

It is very strange indeed, because when I Google, I can only find the templates as mentioned in my question, showing you where to type your address, or the plastic-type ones that you draw around and cut out of paper. I could not find a single one that gave you a diagram for you to cut around!

I am particularly trying to find the program I used to use, because you could actually type your addressee, insert diagrams, photographs, graphics and the like, messages on the front and back, and totally "personalise" your envelopes very easily. For example, at Christmas, I used to print out a snow scene covering the whole envelope, with the address on the snowman's belly. You are right that envelopes are not expensive, but you cannot personalise them so easily. (Probably this is a girl thing and I guess that you are a boy?)

I would be grateful if you will type a www address of what is coming up for you when you search, and post it on here. Thanks very much.
