I can't understand what all this fuss is about. Have we not been saying in the last few weeks how much of a Christian country we are?

If other people can put their trust in their God, why can't I?

I'm sure you are TonY Blair.....oh and by the way...If we had a muslim prime minister and he said he had but his trust in Allah nobody would have said a thing...Carry on with "your" Christianity "Toni"
Cos if you're blair you'll know you're a raving lunatic!
We didnt put our trust in Go though Toni, we put our trust in you.
Because we all know that 'you' aren't really a Christian and are only doing it to grab some cheap votes.
The most dangerous mental illness today is the delusion of religion.
So is it Ok for Bin laden to say that he will let Allah be the judge of his attacks on the towers or is it Ok for the london bombers and the ones who made the bombs to say yeah we will let our god decide?
I thought it was a strange thing to say.

Neither Osama Bin Laden nor the suicide bombers are the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The strange thing being the Bin Laden probably believes what he says, Blair is just a great big liar.

I agree Chimp, firstly but unfortunately this country is far from being a christian country, if it were then when the churches speak out against certain things they would be taken more notice of and like when I was in school you were able to talk about God in assembly, rather than now you cannot speak about the 'god' of your country as you might offend, and when ethnic religions speak out they seem to create more of a stir and get things stopped or banned... christian country... no

So what are you all basing your "knowledge" about Tone's religious beliefs on?

Things you have seen in the media?.........Well we've just seen how someone might not want to declare their Chistian beliefs if this is the ridiculous reaction it might get!

His actions? .......If you listened to what he said he mentioned that " God would be the judge of his actions", a personal, final judgement. He didn't say that God lead him or directed him in his decisions.

The UK is a Christian country, no matter what any opt-outers might say. It is this very Christianity that has encouraged and welcomed the integration of other faiths and cultures in our country. For a world leader of such a Christian country not to be able to offer a view on his faith for fear of ridicule or causing offence to another group appears to me to be quite sad!

Well joefish999, the UK may be a Christian country, but very few people in the country actually believe in what the bible says. On Christmas day I don't celebrate the birth of Christ, I don't even think about it. I think about the presents I'm getting and what's good on TV. I believe this is the same with most people...? (dunno why I made believe bold, just felt like it.)

Who cares, so far you've been putting a lot of trust in the 'mighty boosh'.

S.

Mighty Boosh, now that is a legendary programme.
