Have you changed the hardware at all recently (new memory, new video card etc?)

Have you installed a new printer or other device?

Run a check disk on your hard disk to see if that has errors.

Also press F8 on start up (before Windows loads) and you should get a list of options.

One should be Repair Your Computer (or similar phrase). Select that and see if it fixes it.
I had this exact problem a few months ago. I took it to PC World, and they added some memory to it. Touch wood, all been ok since.
You should have a minimum of 4GB of RAM installed for Windows 7 but if you have Windows 64 bit 8 would be better. A repair of your Start up via Safe Mode may fix it but it has memory issue
Well here's what I'd try first:

Press F8 during the boot-up process and access Safe Mode (as per the instructions you've quoted).

Assuming that you can get into Safe Mode, go to System Restore (from Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools) and restore the registry to a date before the problem first arose.

Hi guys, thanks for your answers, but this problem does`nt let me do anything, when I press F8 it does have the list of options but when I click run in safe mode the error message just keeps reappearing. I haven't added anything recently, I cant even get as far as system restore. I think im gonna have to go to PC World.
Thanks anyway.
