SkyHD Films.

Many films, particularly American on the Sky channels have, in the right bottom corner, an image of a translator for the deaf in sing language.

I appreciate that it is important for obvious reasons, but i find it distracting.......how can i get rid of him?

Write to him and ask him to take a step to the left?

LOL........I would but I don't know his email address.....;-)
Whilst looking for his email address you could, as an interim measure, put a post-it note in the corner of your TV?
You must be watching late night repeats that are signed. You can record the evening films without the signer but there's no way you can remove this public service.

But he wouldn't be able to understand it as he is behind the screen...;-)

Jordy...LOL...LOL I know, I know and it has been much appreciated.

Just be yourself, just give your views and what can the dogooders do about it, but jump up and scream.
That is fine with me.
The Ed team can remove my answers....annoying, but not the end of the world.
according to sky, you cant turn him off http://accessibility.sky.com/sky-tv-help/sign-language
you just have to find the prog on a channel/time that isn't broadcast with the signer
Could be worse Sqad, they could put them centre screen like at the Mandela gig.
there are many that are just waiting for me to fall flat on my face

You bet, just you wait until a few of your AB patients die...

I don't think you can remove the translator, though. You might be able to find out in advance which screenings use them, and avoid them.
"an image of a translator for the deaf in sing language."

Is that for musicals?!
Question Author
Thanks all.........much appreciated.
I wouldn't mind so much but they're getting bigger and bigger. I'll have to buy a bigger telly, soon, just to fit the signer on.
