Transferring Funds From An Isaac

Not really a question - more of a rant really.
Earlier today I tried to transfer some money online from my e-ISA to my current account with another bank.
I got a message that my card reader had been locked out so I rang thinking that I could do this over the phone - wrong!
I was told that, because it's an internet account, I can only do this online and I need a "dummy" card to use with the reader.
I was told that it is in my terms and conditions that I need this dummy card but it isn't - when I pointed this out he backtracked and agreed but said that it would have informed me when I initially made the application online. I said no, if it had I would have asked for one to be sent then.
They will send me a dummy card but this won't arrive until later next week.
In disgust I have opened a new ISA elsewhere and am transferring the whole amount to that.
When the dummy card arrives I will return it with a note saying they can stick it where the sun don't shine!!

how much do you have in it? If you've reached your limit i'm not sure you can transfer can you?

They don't make it easy, do they? I opened mine in a branch, but can use it online. I haven't tried to, so i don't know if i can or not.

You can transfer or withdraw, you just can't replace it.

Bedknobs - I don't think there's a limit. It depends on how much you've added in the current financial year.
As long as you transfer properly, rather than just withdrawing the money and opening a new one, I don't think there's any problem.
(Hope so, anyway!)

You can transfer it all. I did last year. As you say, as long as you don't withdraw it.

If you're transferring to another bank, just get the other bank to do all the donkey work. All you need is the account details, etc and they'll do all the work.
Just make sure you transfer it into another ISA, or you'll lose its tax-free status that it currently has.
