Lucan / Trimphone Query

Enjoyed ITV's Lucan but in one point there was clearly a BT Trimphone on a table. Am I wrong but Lucan disappeared early 74 and as far as I can remember, I'm 48, there's no way trimphones's were around then.

Trimphones were invented in 1964....
The Trimphone is a model of telephone designed in the 1960s in the UK. It was positioned as a more fashionable alternative to the standard telephones available from the GPO, the predecessor to British Telecom.

Prior to that year I was going out with someone whose party trick was to make that crazy trimphone warble.
When I worked for Post Office Telephones, in the days when you had to rent your handset, one customer rang up to ask if it was okay to paint his trimphone gold, as he liked the one on The Golden Shot........

My neighbour still had a brown one in 1973, I remember it well, because her parrot mimicked it all the time.
