Can I get scorch marks off chrome(well shiny anyway) parts that circle the burners on a gas hob?hey have all gone bluish in some parts and have lost their shine.Scouring with stainless steel gets all burned on crud and grease but the blue seems to be part of the metal. Is it?

I found a stainless steel spray-on cleaner than does just that (i.e.removes the 'blue') in Sainsburys. Works a treat on my saucepans, so you could try that after you've done the heavy works with a scourer......polishes them up good too!
