yes, exactly that, why on earth should Britain listen to this woman, and what is this to do with British sovereignty. The people of the Falklands are British citizens aren't they? do they wish to remain under British rule, flag, governance, if not they should vote to say so, but the last time they did they voted to remain part of Britain, unless that info has changed.
//The people of the Falklands are British citizens aren't they?//

Well they are now

Margaret Thatchers government stripped iut from them in 1981 which sent a bit of a message to the Argentinians at the time and then reinstated it 2 years later

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Nationality_%28Falkland_Islands%29_Act_1983

But again this is very similar to the Americans fining their citizens for breaking the Cuba blockade
it says at the end of that piece,

The Act has been superseded by the British Overseas Territories Act 2002, which granted full British citizenship to all British overseas territories, including the Falkland Islands.

Exactly

That was the bit about 'reinstated it' in my above post
but they were British territories, doesn't that also count,
from wiki

comprises East Falkland, West Falkland, and 776 smaller islands. As a British overseas territory, the islands enjoy a large degree of internal self-governance, with the United Kingdom guaranteeing good governance and taking responsibility for their defence and foreign affairs. The islands' capital is Stanley on East Falkland.

not surprising that the anti British jake takes the Side of our enemies, I'd be dissapointed if he had not. Surprised the above seems to have degenerated into discussing jakes avatar. Sorry jake I support your right to have that avatar, my own was banned the other week so I have experience of this. Besides I'm sure I can find a picture of Mr Saville shaking hands with just about anyone. I dont need to expand on the news story everyone knows what it's about. A country that is 100 years newer than the Falklands thinks they have some claim on the Falklands, any one who thinks they have is either blind or stupid or anti British for the sake of it.
i agree, let them choose, if they want to be ruled by Argentina they should say so.

they have had several votes on it emmie.
then that's it.
