I've got a 1998 Ford Escort and I recently damaged the plastic rear bumper and it is now cracked revealing the sponge underneath. Does anyone know if it is possible to repair it, or would I have to replace the entire bumper which I'm reluctant to do as I think it will be too expensive.

could take a trip to the local breakers. colour match wont be perfect, but a new paint job on a repaired bumper wouldnt match either and cost a whole lot more.

plastic bumpers can be easily repaired these days, they use a special type of filler and iron it in to match, very clever the way its done
