In the village of Answerbank-Under-the-Wold (twinned with the first roundabout on the road into Milton Keynes) there was recently a fancy dress party in the village pub, The Quizzes & Puzzles Arms. The celebrity judge (a man who once banged two coconut shells together to imitate a horse in a 1971 episode of The Archers) was unable to award any prizes, simply because he didn't have a clue what any of the villagers costumes were meant to represent.
Here is a summary of some of the villagers and their outfits.

Tilly2 - wore a sackcloth, had wild hair and clutched a sword (went as Tilly the Hun)
DTC - wore a flowing white smock covered in fake blood and had electrodes clamped to his testicles (went as a tortured poet)
Naomi24 - wore normal clothes and held a holy book and a rolling pin (went as a Bible Basher)
Lady-Janine - was skimpily dressed as a "lady of the night" (I think it was a fancy dress outfit.....)
Sunny-Dave - wore a flowered cross-over pinny, a pair of yellow marigolds and held a cattle prod. I have no idea of who or what he was supposed to be.
Shoota - came dressed as normal, clutching a urine sample bottle (went as a Pee-Shooter)
Boo & Craft - wore matching outfits of mini skirts, white kinky boots & had beehive hair do's (went as a pair of Mods)
Psybbo - wore odd shoes and a straight jacket (the poor soul had no idea it was a fancy dress party)
Gness - came dressed in black and claimed she was a pint of Guinness (full bodied with a white head)
Humber - wore a dress made entirely from pages of the A to Z of Hull and held a magnifying glass (went as Humber-Snoop)
Tonyav - a contender for the booby prize as he came dressed in his normal clothes (ratty tracksuit bottoms and a grubby wife-beater vest). He was holding a toasting fork and claimed to be a Gorilla (or something similar sounding)

Oh dear, thats put me right of my sweetbreads, lj !.
Well, I've just waded through three pages of this thread in an attempt to ascertain what the delectable Mrs_o was dressed as, without avail.

Can I assume Mrs_o may her name be immortalised dressed as a Goth (yellow marigolds as accessories) or perhaps a Nymph (undetermined type).
I think actually The Divine Mrs O was dressed (or possibly stressed) as Flipper, in the hope of rekindling a long lost amorous relationship ...
