Does the Matrix Still rock?

Does the Matrix s till rock, or is it past that time now?

The first Matrix was good and always will be, not just for the breakthru in f/x but also sci-fi with a good solid story. The other two follow ups just sankk like a lead turd! Reloaded disappeared up it's own back side with the story and the f/x were too ambitious - a plastic looking CG Keanu being Superman, and bullet time with the Agent Smith fight that was done more realistically in Shrek!! Revolutions just got boring, they tried to cram in so much 'none stop action' that it just got tiresome - I couldn't even tell you what happened in the end, I can't remember. So I think the bottom line is that everyone that is a fan, is a fan because of the first movie with all it's originallity- and it stops there, they seem to forget the sequals.

everything goes off the boil, but every day there are kids seeing it for the first time and thinking - this rocks! so it will always rock - for someone...

plus, how many years after it first came out did you see jaws? or ET? or star wars? - still great, no?

i think that the first matrix is a fantastic film and will always be, but it will date very heavily because it relies on special effects so much, as for its sequels, i agree that the third one was pretty bad but i acctually liked the second one, it had some of the best action sequences i have ever seen!

i stil think the 1st matrix is quality but the l8r 2 wer rubbish and nothin new

1st one is stunning and will remain a landmark in action cinema and the other 2 whilst having amazing moments were a big big disappointment - especially if you fell for all the hype like me !

I loved the first one but agree the second two were crap.

I remember seeing the first one at the cinema and actually making a mental note to really pay attention when he ended up in the 'white room'.
