Australia to resume with England needing 2 wickets to bring their first innings to a close.
The tourists will be looking to keep the Aussies under 300, which would be psychologically unsettling on what is deemed by the pundits a 400+ track.

Personally, I'm looking foward to seeing how one Mitchell Johnson bowls but more importantly how he stands up to the rigours of the banter from the Barmy Army.

Here we go, Broady to bowl.....

136 all out - 159 behind - I think this could all be over by Sunday lunch (Aussie time). At least Broad got a few runs to go with his wickets - pity no bugger else did (except Carberry)

You could see it coming a mile off............how many times over the last 30 years one has seen England bowl out a Test side on a "batsmen's wicket" for a modest score and then go in and are "skittled."

Hmmm, it's all gone a little bit Pete Tong.
As Sqad rightly says, we do have a propensity for getting sides out cheaply, only to outdo them with our own horror show with the willow.
It's made all the worse that the former serial sprayer aka Michell Johnson appears to have found his bowling shoes and is currently tap dancing his spikes up and down the spine of our batting!

It's all going exactly according to plan. Offer the Aussies a bite at the cherry in the first test before crushing their confidence with a match-saving second innings and then steamrollering them at the next test.

Or, more likely, that was the worst batting display we've put in for a couple of years.

Rain is likely to be an hour in the afternoon, that's normal for Brisbane this time of year; but you don't get bad light all day the way you do in England.
