Ctrl + Alt + Del on my W7 bring up a window with various options like Task Manager, Logoff, Switch User etc.

What are you trying to do?
I have Windows7 and it works fine on mine.
yes, I've got it on Windows 7
Ctrl + Alt + Del still works on W7.
Slightly quicker way of starting Task Manager is to right click on the Task Bar and select Task Manager from the options displayed.
It is available, it brings up a screen with the options:
- Lock this computer
- switch user
- Log off
- change a password
- Start Task manager
What do you want to use it for and in what circumstances?

Yes VHG, amazing response indeed, well as long as I can access it from the task bar I can cope.
There are a few web sites which show how to enable and disable the "secure logon" as the call it, see if they help.

Here is one

It will be OK to access Ctrl - Alt- Del via the task bar providing you are not wanting to use it because your cursor has frozen.
It certainly works on mine!
