Protecting Pdf Files

I use Adobe 9 - is there any freeware to prevent copying, screencapture, editing of a file I have? Recommendations please - have tried a few on the web and can't get to grips with them or they don't seem to want me to:) Many thanks.

I don't see how can you stop screen capture?

A program like the Sniping Tool, that comes with Windows, can capture anything that is displayed on the screen, so if the pdf can be displayed it can be "screen captured".

some software will stop screen capture but that's not as important as note being able to copy and paste from my document which is what I want to avoid.

waste of time

as already pointed out it takes seconds to do a screen grab, then its just run through some OCR software and bazinga, graphics and text.

all the seciruty does is just makes it that little bit harder to get whats wanted, doesnt stop someone who has a bit of time to spare

Thanks for the replies. I've managed to do it - in the programme that produced the PDF after all that.
