ALONE
Titus Awakes is a novel by M. Peake but that's too many letters.
Baldric' correct.

Everywhere I've looked says Alone is the 4th book, so there might be a setters error, but it's all that fits.
Setters error?

Just one ^^^^setters error will do,
Works in the series[edit]

The series consists of three novels, Titus Groan (1946), Gormenghast (1950), and Titus Alone (1959)
You were right all along Baldric.
If you put it into www.duckduckgo.com it says that is the 3rd in the trilogy.

Ok, thanks
Can't really have a fourth in a trilogy, though who knows ? Authors licence ?

///Titus Alone is a novel written by Mervyn Peake and first published in 1959. It is the fourth work in the Gormenghast series. The other works in the series are Titus Groan, Gormenghast, the novella Boy in Darkness, and the fragment Titus Awakes. Wikipedia///
