I am starting to get into playing C&C generals online and am getting a bit peeeeed off.
Are people really that good or are they just cheating? I start a new game and about 5-10mins into it, the other team has basically the whole map covered and are sending in loads of units.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there any way to find a decent person to play against? And how do I combat these cheaters?

It is the responsibility of the person/company hosting the game/running the server to install anti-hacking and or anti-cheat software/patches.
But, yes, they can be that good, especially if you are playing against a clan.
They will regularly practice together, and have an organised method of playing the map.
