I saw the end of a programme where Nigella was cooking a particular dish and I would like to find the recipe. I thought it might have been part of her Nigellissima programme but I have looked up the site and don't see it there.

It used orzo pasta and it looked like an alternative to risotto. It had lardons and peas in it as well.

Did anyone esle see it and know where I could find the recipe?

Have typed it out already spotit (there wasn't much to it) but thanks for the advice.

Well done Watty - I actually made it once, shortly after the programme was aired, then forgot what I did. Essentially, the key bit is to fry the things that need frying (e.g. pancetta), then add orzo and hot water in proportions of 1:2 by volume.

If I have one, I put in a shallot as well as the pancetta, and mushrooms work, too. Some of these dishes work rather well substituting feta for the butter + Parmesan finish.
Here it is (with slight variations):

Pea & Pancetta Pasta Risotto
Recipe by Nigella Lawson

Olive oil
50g pancetta (or bacon)
½ cup frozen peas (I also added in a bunch of chopped asparagus, just because I had it)
1¼ cups risoni pasta (orzo)
2½ cups boiling water
pinch salt
knob of butter
handful of freshly grated parmesan cheese

Heat a swig of olive oil in a saucepan. Add the pancetta and cook until crisp. Toss in the peas and asparagus and mix it all around. Now add the pasta and stir. Pour in the boiling water along with a pinch of salt. Bring to the boil, then lower the heat and simmer until all the liquid is absorbed, give it a stir every now and then, this should only take about 5-7 minutes. Test a few pieces to see if it’s ready and if not, pour in a little more water and cook for a couple of minutes. Stir through a knob of butter and a handful of freshly grated parmesan cheese. Serves 2-3.

Here it is - I don't know why they get so silly about putting recipes on line, those chefs get very well paid as it is and if people want the books they'll buy them anyway - Delia is not so snotty!
Serves 2 easily doubled
Ingredients
2 tbsp garlic oil
150g pancetta cubes
150g frozen petit pois
250g orzo pasta
625 ml boiling water
Salt and pepper to taste
25g butter
Good handful of grated Parmesan
Method
In a heavy based pan suitably big enough for all the ingredients. Heat the oil and add the pancetta. Fry until crispy, then add the peas and cook for a minute. Add the pasta, stir well then add the water. Turn the heat down and leave to simmer for 10 minutes. Stir from time to time to prevent sticking. After 10 minutes the pasta will be cooked. Beat in the butter and Parmesan, check for seasoning then serve in warm bowls.
