I have a humane mouse trap in my shed which keeps the mice alive. The other day I found 2 dead mice in there with an animal about 10cm long furry tail and a sort of tan colour. It had ferocious looking teeth. Anyone know what it was.

I suppose it depends on how long the mice were left in the trap before Bb emptied it Lankeela. Was the 3rd occupant dead as well Bb?

Thank you everyone. This animal had killed the mice. That is why it went in there. It was about 15cm in total length including tail. I thought stoats and weasels were big animals like small cats!!

A weasel is barely the length of your hand, stoats the size of a small ferret. You rarely see them but they are fascinating when out in the wild.
