We have a brand new automatic (but called something else)Corsa.Gear change is incredibly jerky-almost makes me feel sick after a while,is also very slow to pul away.

Anyone else have this problem?

Is it because it is new or am I just saddled with it?

As above but insist that the garage put's it right now while it is still under warranty.

Thanks Guys-gargae are disinterested.........I have another auto ao am used to autos-this is very different but gargae says "this is how they are".Didn't bother with test drive of auto-drove manual and ordered auto-probably a stupid mistake!
The gearbox you have is an "Easytronic" it mimics the gearchange of a manual box. Its much smoother as you get used to it and learn to ease off the throttle as you get to a gear change. Once proficient at them, you can get a smoother ride. Its a lot different to a normal auto where you just put your foot down.

I think these type of boxes are cheaper to build as all the major manufacturers are putting them in cars.

Thanks Furry-I will give it a try-sounds very logical to me-bloody "easytronic"-whats wrong with a good old automatic? ;)

If you are used to a manual change try using the semi auto mode. Ease off the throttle and push the gear lever forward to change up. Down changes will be done automatically as usual. This gives you control of the gear change and it is very smooth .
