Well guys can anybody reassure me. Went over to pay for my kitchen and called into Poundstretchers spent about £20 there and £30 for dog groomers.

Am just in and am counting the cost of my kitchen, and the money I have in my purse.

Got a cheque cashed in the bank and you know the usual the machines dish out the money.

I can't account for £100.

I never checked the money in the bank but can these counters make a mistake. Thanks

Hi all, had logged out a while ago then computer updated itself.

Apologies are due here. I had counted money with paper and pen & brain???. Decided to calculate on calculator and I was wrong.

Money is ok - I miscounted. But I tell you I think I have learned from my mistake think I will count in the bank in future. Good night all and thanks for your answers. Conne
Phew... thank goodness for that !
I'm just happy you found it!

Easy done.
That's a relief.
Good news Conne.
Any bank I have ever been into and cashed a large amount the teller has recounted the money after removing it from the machine.
Phew, I am relieved (and yes helen, that's always been my experience too).
good news conn.

Well, just to end this posting - teller took money immediately from the machine -bundled into 1,000s wrapped an elastic band round them. And stuck them into an enveloped shut tight.

So I may have been embarrassed to open all that out and count all over again. Whatever, thank God it was there. Slept well last night and but still feeling very tired - will take a nap - then will see to Mr Harv. bye all Conne
TBH conne, I still don't understand why you paid the kitchen place in cash - you could have used your debit card very easily, or a cheque. I hate the idea of anyone walking the streets with shedloads of money in their bag, disguised or not.

boxy - long story and you would be bored in knowing it. I am like you - don't and never carry large amounts of money like that as I am very nervous but never again.
Ok then - you know why!
