So confusing. I am still using an old Nokia mobile, not even an IPhone, the contract runs out in Jan. I have unlimited calls, texts, etc. and pay £15.50 per month. I want to change the provider when contract ends. Can someone please tell me who gives the best contract deal, with my old phone, how do I keep my number once I have cancelled with Orange, and if I decide to have an all singing all dancing phone, would it be best to buy one and pay monthly with a provider, if so which is an easy phone to use, and one for unlimited calls and texts? Thanks all. I may have more questions on this later!

i have recently switched to tesco and have found it great
Carphone warehouse do good deals... they currently are doing an iphone4 on vodafone for £21 month with 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb data...
Carphone warehouse do deals for networks, that the networks dont do in their own shops. you cannot get the above deal in a vodafone shop. only at carphone warehouse (sounds like an advert for C warehouse, but i'm nothing to do with them)
An iphone is not the only smartphone.

Others make smartphones like Samsung Galaxy and so on.

In fact Which magazine voted the Samsung Galaxy S4 the best smartphone they have ever tested recently.

So don't limit yourself to an iphone (which tend to be overpriced)
I have recently changed my old Blackberry Curve 8520 & bought a Blackberry Curve 9320 ( I prefer the qwerty keyboard ) & have gone from Orange to Tesco PAYG who I find quite satisfactory for my purpose.

WR.
I've just got a monthly contract with tesco, so far so good.
The staff so friendly and very helpfull.
